At Human Well Center we are on a mission to help reverse this epidemic by connecting teenagers, young adults, and their families with the support they need to prevent crisis before it happens.

We can turn this around together

Program 1, 2025

Loop Well: Elk Grove, CA

What if a single city became the model for our entire country?

Effective September 29th, 2025 we have launched a pilot program in one of the most diverse cities in the United States: Elk Grove, California. Our program has four phases, outlined below. We are investing our resources to learn from and support a single community so we may help communities across the country put an end to the epidemic of youth suicide.

Phase 1: Coordinate

We know there more to know. Phase one is about learning and connecting the dots. We are coordinating with exiting programs and Elk Grove parents to inform our next steps. Our goal is to establish partnerships with the programs and organization already serving the Elk Grove community to help raise awareness of their resources and share our learnings from parents to better inform how these resources are shared and accessed.

Parents, Get Involved

Donate your time by sharing your experience supporting your children with their mental health. Our private community interviews are fully remote, confidential, and help us help the Elk Grove community.

Donate your money to pay for the time of the dedicated people running the Loop Well program. Our Program Director and Lead Researcher, Sean Kennedy, is running this effort full time and is a parent himself in Elk Grove. To enable him and the team he is building to do this work, we depend on the financial support of the community.

Programs, Get Connected

We are beginning initial outreach to organizations serving and supporting the Elk Grove community including the City of Elk Grove, the Elk Grove Unified School District, and local nonprofit organizations. If you are anyone you know can help us in building partnerships in the community, please reach out.

Phase 2: Connect

By the end of 2025, in coordination with local partners and volunteers, we will begin running community workshops to bring awareness to this cause and to the many resources residents of Elk Grove, CA have to support their mental health.

Phase 3: Intergate

By the end of 2026, we aim to embed the Loop Well program into the official channels of mental health support in Elk Grove, CA to help connect all parents and their children with their local mental health resources.

Phase 4: Replicate

By the end of 2027, we aim to share measurable success with the entire country and start to expand Loop Well’s support one city at a time.

Every dollar we raise in this early stage will be used to pay our full time staff of researchers, coordinators, and organizers to bring Loop Well to life in Elk Grove, CA.
